Persimmon Pudding (2 options)

Ahhhh. Here it is - the traditional holiday Neely dessert that my mom is famous for...

2 c. persimmon pulp
2 c sugar
2 c milk
2 c flour
¼ t cinnamon
¼ t soda
2 eggs
½ t. vanilla
¼ c melted butter

Preheat over 350. Mix in order and bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 for 1 hour.

And here is a new option that I plan to try after visiting the Mitchell Persimmon Festival today.

1/2 c melted butter in bottom of 9 x 13 pan
2 c. persimmon pulp
2 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 t cinnamon
1 t soda
2 c sour milk (or buttermilk
1 t. vanilla

Combine all ingredients in order listed and pour into the baking pan.  Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until done.
